I wake up every single day in love with what I do but it wasn’t always this way…
After experiencing extreme burnout working 12 years in the Social Services field, I was inspired to make some changes in my life.
Since 2009, I have been on a journey of discovery, exploring more deeply the things that I love and seeking out the things that make me feel inspired. This has allowed me to wake up feeling excited to meet each and every day.
Throughout this process of discovery, I came to understand what I needed…to Reflect, to Relax and to Rebalance. These 3 principals are the foundation that Nicole Carter Services is built upon.
As a child I would sit for hours browsing through old family photographs. I was memorized by these snapshots in time. It was many years later that my first SLR camera was given to me. In 2004, I took a beginner’s photography course at Mohawk College and was immediately smitten with capturing the world. I dabbled in it for fun and further developed my skills for a few years. Eventually, I was encouraged to take my work more seriously and I continued my education in applied and arts photography courses.
Today, I am a natural light Family & Lifestyle Photographer specializing in capturing the rites of passage and joys of parenthood. Pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, family and child portraiture are my specialties.
Booking & Pricing
Portrait sessions take place in various locations throughout Hamilton and surrounding areas.
1 hour sessions are $200 + HST. This includes 20 high resolution images edited and ready for print.
Up to 10 additional images may be available for purchase.
Mini sessions are held at various times throughout the year.
Nicole Carter is an amazing young woman who really lives her life with her heart on her sleeve! This makes her a most passionate photographer with a strong desire to capture the ‘moment’. Her photos of my grandchildren are breathtaking and these pictures will be cherished for life! Nicole has an amazing gift for photographing children which is not easy! It is a pleasure to trust someone enough to take our family’s photos!

In 2009, with the encouragement and support of my husband, I took the plunge and went back to school to become a Massage Therapist. I vowed that upon becoming an RMT I would help others learn the valuable skills of relaxation and self-care.
I am now well known for my deep tissue treatments and calming scalp massages. Pre-natal and labour support have also become a passionate focus of my practice.

After receiving a free class pass to De La Sol Yoga Studios I instantly became hooked on yoga. My next step was becoming an “Energy Exchanger” and eventually I moved my massage practice into a yoga studio.
This move allowed me to combine the two worlds that had taught me how to rebalance my life. In 2011, I decided to take this learning one step further and became a Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher completing 250hrs of Yoga Alliance approved training with Alex Bovkis. Pre-Natal and Restorative yoga teacher training will be future goals.
Dates & Rates
Beginner Yoga classes are taught in small groups with a maximum of 5 people per class.
Sessions are $60 + HST for 4 weeks, 1 class per week.
